FULTON UNION CEMETERY (Once known as the VIERS CEMETERY)
Fulton Township, Fulton County, Ohio

Location: The Fulton Union Cemetery is located approximately four miles west of Swanton, on the south side of Township Road JH, between County Road 5-2 and Township Road 5. (SE 1/4 Sec 5, T7N, R8E.)

History: The Fulton Union Cemetery occupies land deeded to JOHN VIERS in 1834. The first burial was Mrs. Harris, wife of William H., Harris, who died in 1836. The burial ground was first known as the VIERS CEMETERY. Since 1860 the cemetery has been the responsibility of the Fulton Township trustees.

Located in Section 5, Township 47N, Range 7W- Nine Mile Prairie Township- off of Road 162 on Van Dyke land. Please note that this is private property.

Inscriptions were copied June 8, 1992 by Edith Dixon, Matt Van Dyke, Mary Hartman. Taken to cemetery location by property owner, Matt Van Dyke. [Matt VanDyke said the H. W. AND LYDIA ANN VEIRS were grandparents of the Windsors]

VIERS, H. W. - died Mar 18, 1889- aged- 76 yr 1m 7d.
VIERS, JOHN CRUMP- son of H. W. VIERS- born April 10 1852- died Jan 12 1853
VIERS, ROSETTA W.- daughter of H. W. and L. A. VIERS- born Nov 14 1856- died Aug 21 1874- age 18 y 8m
VIERS, HESTER- daughter of H. W. and L. A. VIERS, born Nov 25 1849-died Mar 15 1850
