Could this have been the Robert Baily who was a son of Thomas Baily, Sr. and brother of Mary Baily Allison, Isaac Baily, and Ruth Baily? Robert Bailey/Baily,
b about 1790,
moved from Brooke Co WV to Adams Co, OH and to Monroe Co IL. Nancy Jarrard married Robert Bailey on 26 December 1816 in Adams Co. Ohio. Nancy apparently died before 1820.

"In 1820, Robert Bailey was living alone in Monroe County, Illinois. He was listed as 26-45 yrs old. In 1821, he married Mary Roach (on 1 August 1821). By 1830, he was again living alone in the census records.

Robert Bailey married Mary Ann Glass, widow, in St. Clair County, Illinois 03/03/1845.

In the 1850 census we find Isaac Bailey, age 23 [b 1827] and Evan Bailey age 15 [b 1835], sons of the second marriage." (more...)
