Mary DAVISON (or DAVIDSON) GEORGE Census records show that Mary was born around 1807 in Tennessee. Jane wrote 2 August 2006: I found on the USGenweb.com Sumner County site that Edward Davidson married Polly King (a common nickname for Mary) on October 24, 1829 in Sumner County, Tennessee. The Bondsman was Anderson King, Edward Davidson's uncle. This is where my group of Wyatts were from about 1821 until 1837, 1837 being the time they moved to Andrew County, MO. The Mary mentioned in his probate record, therefore, must have been his wife. I do not know which Mary King that she would be. Ah, another search is on!! After Mary's first husband, Edward Davison, died young in 1843 (Andrew Co, MO), Mary was left with the care of their 4 young children. She appears to have married John E. George (born 1806 in Ohio) later that same year. They had 3 more children, and John eventually became the first 4 children's guardian. For the 1860 census - text or image - Mary's son James Davisson (a farm laborer), Sarah P. Lanning (aged 5; relationship unknown), and William and M. J. Smith (both aged 21; Mary's daughter and son-in-law) lived with John, Mary, Sarah, Hugh, and Eliza. The Joseph and Caroline King family living next door may be related to Mary's first husband, whose mother was Elizabeth King Davison. There is no indication yet that the near neighbors, R. A. (Reuben Andrew) and Enoch George families were related to John George.

Edward DAVISON (DAVIDSON) Edward, aka "Ned", was probably the son of David and Elizabeth (King) Davison, who were married in Orange Co., NC on 25 Feb 1800. Jane Brett is researching Ned's parents' family. (2006)

John E. GEORGE or John A. GEORGE Although John E. GEORGE lived in Andrew County, MO when Reuben GEORGE Jr. and Enoch GEORGE did, there is no indication that John was related to these brothers from Butler County, OH.
John A. GEORGE John E. GEORGE was made guardian of William, Jasper, James T. and Margaret June Davison in Andrew Co MO on 8 February 1848.
