One Room School This is the one-room school at the corner of California Road and Cincinnati-Brookville Road, circa 1910- 1915, not exactly sure of the year. Several of the Gast siblings are in the picture, but I am not certain who is who. Nine of eleven of the Gast children attended this school, prior to moving to Shandon. It is, or was, located about a mile from the entrance to Gov Bebb Park. The last time I drove past, it was still in fairly good shape. I believe that grades 1 thru 8 went here, then went on to Morgan School for High School. There were several of these schools located throughout the area...some are still standing and some are gone. Larry has a pretty good handle on the locations of all the schools, and pictures of most of them in Butler County. | ||
