Grandma Hulda's
Apricot Bread

This recipe was one of my favorites that my grandmother
used to make. This page is dedicated to
Hulda Mae Bollheimer Ayers.

2 small jars of apricot baby food (may substitute banana)
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup shortening
2 eggs
3 Tablespoons orange juice

Bake in ungreased 9"x5"x3" pan at 350° for 45 minutes.
