Baglan
The old Church was dedicated to St. Baglan who a disciple of St. Illtyd. The headstones have been placed around the outside of the churchyard. Among them are several Pilots with the surname Williams but I have not located that of my ancestor John Williams who was buried there in 1844.  Old Church of St. Baglan

The New Church of St.Catherine`s was built in 1875-82 a little below the Old Church. It was built by Mr Griffith Llewellyn J.P. of Baglan Hall at a cost of over £17,000.  St. Catherine`s
