In 1880 Jesse and Delilah were living with daughter Susannah Hartman Bacon. Susannah married William S. Bacon born abt 1846 son of Isaac & Margaret Bacon ; grandson of James & Magdalena Bacon ; great grandson of Jeremiah & Fronica Bacon. Children of Susannah & William Bacon were Rufus, Laura J., Delilah, Mary R., Jacob B., John C., Cordie E., and Warlick

  • 3. JOSEPH HARTMAN, III was the third son of Joseph Hartman Jr and Jane "Jennie" Walker. Joseph issued a license January 12, 1830 to marry MARIA PURSELL and the rites of matrimony were performed by John Stephenson J.P on January 15, 1830. They had Jane, Susannah, William R & Mary E; Joseph died 1859. Reid and Pursell families were living near Joseph and Jane Hartman in 1830. An Andrew Reid was working on the farm and living with Jane Walker Hartman and daughters in 1860 ; uncertain as to who he is or his relationship to the family, did he marry one of the Hartman girls?

LEVI HARTMAN was he 4th son of Joseph & Jennie born September 8, 1816 died September 20, 1900 in Hermitage, Hickory County, Missouri ; he married MARY JANE ROUSE ; Children: John D, Joseph Stout, Martha E., Eliza Jane, Margaret Hartman ; Joseph S. moved to Aztec, New Mexico and Margaret Hartman Lopp died in Stockton, San Joaquin, California ; she may have been living with her daughter Nelle Lopp Berry. John D. Hartman was a gold miner in Washington with his sons Richard and Ernest and son-in-law John Neil McClain an engineer in the gold mine

  • James Anderson Hartman was the youngest son of Jane and Joseph Hartman Jr ; he married JANE JONES daughter of ELIZABETH MARTIN and JOHN BERRY JONES. They left Washington County by 1850 and were all living in Wapello Co., Iowa. James and Jane moved to Weston, Umatilla Co., Oregon
