Note*: Adne was 2nd born to Leverett and Frances. Adne was born in Grenfell, Assiniboia, North West Territory, which became Saskatchewan in 1905, Canada on June 4, 1887. He was a furniture mover and truck driver by trade. He married and was divorced, we don't know his Spouse. Adne was rather a vagabond and didn't keep in touch with the family very much. He had circulatory problems and lost his leg as a result of a blood clot and died not too much after his leg was amputated and possibly had diabetes. He died in Seattle on June 7, 1948, and was buried in Seattle. This account is stated in the book 'ENNIS HISTORY', published by Jean Agnes (Ferguson) Smith, 1979, pages 97 and 104, for biography.

He said a man should only get married when he can't look after himself. He was living in a boarding house with a Mrs. Main, #9 Maxwell Street, Glasgow, Scotland. He died young sometime before 1907. His death notice said that he was a surgeon.

Note*: Arthur Munroe Coy was 1 of 8 children born to Harvey and Mary Coy. Lacrosse, which is an adaptation of an old Indian game, became quite popular in the early 1900’s. It was played with racquets and a hard India rubber ball, and with twelve men to a side. In 1904 Grenfell had a team which played in the Main Line League and took part in the Territorial Finals. Arthur Coy was a member of the team. He was killed while serving in World War I. It is not known if he was buried overseas. A photo of Arthur is in his scrapbook.

Rev. Benjamin Coy is mentioned in the book "History of the Baptist Church of the Maritime PRovinces", written by Rev. Bill.

He was ordained on 14 March, 1865 at St. Martin's Church, Saint John, New Brunswick. His parents were among the first to settle on the Saint John River. At age 12 he became pious.

He left the Presbyterian Church and joined what at first was known as the New Light body, which was afterwards organized into a Baptist Church and he became one of the first preachers in the Baptist Denomination in the Province.

He conducted Revivals in different places, having good success, especially at what is now known as the town of St. Martins, St. John County, New Brunswick, Canada.
