Joseph W. Pehoushek, Punta Gorda, FL, Ivisited his gravesite at Laurel Grove Cemetery on Discovery Rd., PortTownsend on June 21, 1997. A marble marker, of recent vintage, states:DYER Edward Sidney Harriet Carlton died 1875 died 1887And then below thatis what appears to be a very old stone slab with rather crudely writtenengraving centered on a Masonic Symbol, which states:ChildrenSymbol ChartermemberElizabeth Wilson Lodge #6Anna DennisonChas. P.Dyer Born 1818Both the marble marker and stone slabare embedded in a poured concrete slab covering an area perhaps 10' x10'. The graves are located near the entrance to the cemetery, a few rowsback on the left hand side. Since Charles P. must be Edward's son CharlesPorter, it must be Edward referred to as born 1818. They had other children that died very young. [FD] Parents:
