But he was excepted along with Archelaus Hammond, ElijahEasterbrooks (sic), Elias Clarke, John Richardson and Francis Grant, byRichard Buckley. Loyalists claimed part of his land and he petitionedthat he be allowed to keep it because of a promise of the Governor ofHalifax earlier. This was successful. Later he moved across the riverto Canning Parish, Queens Co., NB. Elijah Estabrooks converted ZebulonEstey to Baptist principles before 1800. He was clerk of the BaptistChurch at Waterborough in 1800. A letter from Zebulon Estey at Gagetownwas written to Edward Manning at Cornwallis.
