Hilda FoyPop-up Pedigree Birth*: 26 September 1908, Tryon, Prince County, Prince Edward Island Death*: 6 April 2002, Prince Edward Home, Prince Edward Island, Obituaries (04/05/03) IN LOVING Memory Of Hilda Ross Large Hilda passed away surrounded by her family on April 6, 2002, at the Prince Edward Home. Hilda was born on September 26, 1908 to the late Alfred and Gertrude (Harvey) Foy in Tryon. She later met Harry Ross and was married in December 1927 and lived on the family farm in Albany where seven children were born. When Harry passed away in 1950, Hilda was left to raise a young family. The family included Helen (Donnie), Clarence (Eleanor), Lera (Bill), Carmen (Margaret), Hazel (Herbert). Predeceased by Marion (Bob) and Glen in infancy, sister Alba and brother Harold. There never was a shortage of work to be done or love to be shared with a young family. Later she went to work at Amalgamated Dairies. She married Eldon Large in 1960, and became involved in a tourist operation which they both enjoyed very much. Hilda and Eldon were really involved in their church and its organizations. Their home was always open for friends, family, step-family and grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Mom was a wonderful cook and did crafts of all kinds including quilts for all her grandchildren. She took many prizes at Crapaud Exhibition for baking and handwork. Eldon passed awayin 1992 and Hilda moved to Charlottetown to a senior's home. Then in 1998 she broke her hip and went to the Prince Edward Home where she received the best of care and many friends. Silent memories keep you near As time unfolds another year, No longer in our lives to share, But in our thoughts you are always there. Mom is sadly missed by both families.
