Leah Gillies married a Mr.Harding of St. John and was mother of Thomas Harding, M.P.P. for the cityof Saint John, also George and William Harding. Jesse Gillies married Elizabeth Sherwood, 1767-1847, of Loyalist descent,whose first husband was Weede Fowler (1760-1791) by whom she had fourchildren: (1) Mary, born June 15, 1785, married William Wetmore 1802.
