Theygot into a discussion about religion.Eventually to coll down the talkthey started to sip at the bottle. Ross reported that he later sawthem, still discussing religion walking arm in arm down the road. Clay was a Justice of the Peace for many years in Ethelbert. He was amember of the Kiwanis club in Atikokan where he was head of the EasterSeals campaign. He skied and fished and read books for recreation. Hedidn't like politics. He had two cars in his lifetime, a Chevrolet (1928) which he had allkinds of problems with so he traded it for a 1929 Plymouth. He keptthat car for at least 10 years.
