In Amesbury MA in 1664 wherehe had a case in county court against Robert Jones. Still there on 31 Jan1666/1667. Received common rights in Amesbury in 1667. Captained thesloop Endeavor in 1671 from Salisbury to NY as the first commercialcarrier between the two ports. May 1671 he defended himself in the jurytrial in NJ. He was successful with the first jury but the second foundhim guilty and he forfeited his sloop for lack of a license in NJ (He hadone for NY). Worked on a vessel built in Haverhill in 1678 for NicholasPage of Boston. Signed a petition in Salisbury in 1680.
