Ted and Madelaine were engaged in 1932, when he was 18 years old andMadelaine was 21 years old. They remained engaged for over 60 yearsuntil his death in 1992. Though, Ted and Madelaine never married, therewas never a day that went by that they didn't see each other. Ted was employed as a singer on CBC Radio in Toronto, Ontario in the1930's and 1940's. He had quite a following of fans. After Ted'ssinging career ended he was employed in the Toronto Police Departmentuntil his retirement. Although, Ted's singing career never obtained the notoriety it hadbefore, he always sang and played his guitar at family gatherings formany, many years and was always tremendously enjoyed by all. He willalways be remembered for his beautiful singing voice.
