He is survived by is widow, Mrs. Helen (Estabrook) Bates of Houlton; fourbrothers, Everard of Moro, Freeman and Adrian, both of Linneus, Philip ofNiles, Michigan; one sister, Mrs. Helen Jane Mason, Riverside,California; several nieces and nephews.
