He had been employed by the AmericanExpress Co. in Waterville and Newport for many years, retiring in 1949.At the time of his death he was employed as a dispatcher for the town ofNewport. Mr. Ramsey was past secretary of Meridian Splendor Lodge, amember of the St. Omar Commandery, Waterville, and was an honorary memberof the Newport Fire Department. He attended the High Street Congregational Church. He is survived by hiswife of Newport; one son, Paul Ramsey of Hanover; two daughters, Mrs.Joan Small of Carmel and Mrs. David (Phyllis) Marley of Portland, andseven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the High StreetCongregational Church.
