May was bedridden at Hazel and Roys' home at 2607 12th Ave., N, Seattle, Washington until she died in 1941.

She was a devoted member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church that was located on the corner of 15th Ave. N. and E. Harrison on Seattle's Capital Hill.

Uncle Roy lived athome with his parents, Alfred Matthew and May Viola (Barney) Snyder.While he was home, he had a very large morning paper route. He would beup early and do his route, then come home, get his golf clubs and headfor the golf course. Uncle Roy liked to smoke. He would buy his tobacco and cigarette paper and he had a little machine and roll his owncigarettes. He would roll maybe twenty or thirty at a time. Some timeshe would have a bag of tobacco and take out a paper and roll just onewith his fingers and light it. Uncle Roy had had all his teeth pulled when he in his twenties or so. Hewore false teeth for many years and would take them out at any time justto show his nieces and nephews. He had a very heavy mustache thatreminded you of Andy Gump. Later his shaved it off. After his parents died, he lived in a small basement apartment in Seattleon Aurora Avenue about a half mile south of the Aurora Bridge. He is buried In the Snyder Plot, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 700 West RayeStreet, Seattle, King County, Washington, U.S.A. There is no Gravestone. See photos in his scrapbook.
