Upper Point de Bute, May 18 - An aged and esteemed resident of Upper Point de Bute passed away on Friday last when the death took place of Mrs. Alfred TINGLEY, after a lingering illness. The deceased lady was eighty years of age and her passing is mourned by a very wide circle of acquaintances. Mrs. Tingley is survived by her husband, three sons and three daughters. The daughters, who were with her at the time of her death, are Mrs. McKinney of Roslindale, Mrs. John Fawcett of Amherst, and Mrs. Bliss Oulton, of Jolicure. The sons are Messrs. Appropriate music was rendered by the choir. After the church service, many followed the remains to the grave. The pall-bearers were Messrs. J.K. Spence, Byron Atkinson, Frank Trueman, Charles Bowser. The floral tributes were numerous and beautiful, silently testifying to the esteem in which Mrs. Tingley was so widely held.
