ALFRED B. LEACH

Alfred Banta Leach, 70, Sharpsburg, father of Carolyn Blankenship, Winchester, died Monday at the Mary Chiles Hospital, Lexington.

A native of Bath County, he was a son of the late Roger Clark and Alice Triplett Leach. He was a farmer and contractor and a member of the Old Springfield Presbyterian Church.

Additional survivors include his wife, Anna Kate Reed Leach; two other daughters, Janice Graham, Richmond, Va., an Melissa McCarty, Paris; two sons, Charles Leach, Owingsville, and Roger Leach, Sharpsburg; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two brothers, Howard and Bobby Leach, Sharpsburg; six sisters, Linda Cravens, Winchester; Betty Rutherford, Lexington; Barbara Warner, Mt. Sterling; Jane Renaker, Cincinnati, Ohio; Myrtle Carroll, Owingsville, and Sandra Manley, Sharpsburg, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Mt. Sterling, by Rev. Todd Boyce.

Friends may call 5-9 p.m. today.
