Subject: Perkins/Stephens family line

Hi Darrell

I just started taking a family history class at church (I'm a member of the LDS church) and learned of family search.org site, so I decided to go on a hunt. I have pages of charts I filled out by hand years and years ago by searching through family documents. I got very excited when I looked up my father - Kenneth Earl Stephens (died 1993, married to Mary Ellen Riley) - and saw that you have many of my family's names I assume we are related through the Perkins line, since Sallie Perkins was my great great grandmother, but I am still just searching through the data at this point. In my initial perusal of the data, I can tell you that I have some of the info that you are missing and a correction or two, but I will verify and compile a list of it to send to you all at once. It is a pleasure to meet you and thanks SO much for posting all of this info - it's very exciting to me I am copying my sister on this email, Diana Stephens Davis - she has the family bible of Lottie Fenton Calvert Stephens (married to John A) that is the source of some of my info, as well as grave sites in this area and personal family knowledge. We are still located in the Troy, OH area. Our father's family moved to this area from Fleming/Bath Co. sometime in the 30's, leaving the family tobacco farm to pursue factory work in Ohio.

Thanks again so much for taking the time to share all of this data I will be sure to forward anything that I find as well.

Hi Kim,
Always happy to find out about another cousin. I would be happy to include any information you wish to share for the family tree. According to the charts we are 4th cousins.

Thanks,
Darrell
