Individual Note: From obituary: Franklin died at his home in Milford, Iowa, Monday morning, May 12 at 12:30 o'clock. He was the last of 13 children. He moved to Iowa with his parents when he was 13 years old, living in Jasper County. He was a successful farmer having at one time owned and operated farms in Jasper, Guthrie and Palo Alto Counties. For many years he was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Masonic and Eastern Star Lodges, holding his membership in Gloaming Lodge NO. 482, A.F. and A.M. in Milford and Gloaming Chapter 225 O.E.S.
Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church at 1 P.M. conducted by the paster, Rev. L.N. Moody and Masonic Lodge No. 482. The remains were taken to Mallard, Iowa for burial.
