Sorrows laid its cornerstone on June 18, 1887 at the corner of
Gennessee and Rich Streets, Buffalo, New York, and was completed in 1891. Two years after the cornerstone was laid in 1887,
the baptism of George Francis Zenner aka Frank Joseph Zenner occured in 1889 at St. Mary of Sorrows.
