Zenner Land Grants      One of the earliest homestead petitions that I have found so far is shown below from California in the year 1860. Another early homestead petition can be found in Acadia Parish, Louisiana from 1880. Both homestead petitions are are for William or Wilhelm surname Zener or Zenter. The Acadia Parish land grant is 7 miles Southwest of Eunice, Louisiana.
