Littrell, Leona Funeral arrangements for Leona Littrell, of Litchfield, are pending at Plummer Funeral Home. Mrs. Littrell, 79, died Sunday, February 7, in her home. Services for Leona Pearl Littrell, of Litchfield, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Plummer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be directed to New Hope Baptist Church, of which she was a member, or to the Montgomery West Chapter of the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Littrell died Sunday, February 7, 1999, in her home. She was 79 years old on October 21. She was a farmwife and enjoyed quilting and being with her family and friends. She was born in Shaw's Point Township near Atwater, a daughter of Orville and Florence Gates Culp. She married Paul Edward Littrell on December 8, 1937, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hillsboro. He died in January 1975. Surviving are sons, Kenneth Littrell and wife Patsy of Litchfield, James Littrell and wife Sharon of Raymond; a sister, Lucille Flynn of Grand Junction, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Randall Littrell, Sara Boaden, both of Litchfield, Renae Patton of Hillsboro, Gina Riedel of Walker, Kansas, Shauna Bezilla of Harbor Springs, Mich., Gayla Hart of Duncan, Ariz., Krista Pfeiffer of Dearborn, Mich.; and six great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were brothers, Graydon, Elmer, Ralph and Wayne Culp and sisters, Opal Roach and Beulah Zenner. Services for Leona Pearl Littrell, of Litchfield, were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Plummer Funeral Home. The Rev. Francis Hudson of Taylorville and the Rev. Roy Eller of Fillmore officiated. Burial was in Elm Lawn Cemetery. Musical selections were "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow," "In the Garden" and "Hold Me, Jesus." Pallbearers were Shaun Bezilla of Harbor Springs, Mich., Jeff Boaden of Edinburg, Brian Patton of Hillsboro, James Pfeiffer of Dearborn, Mich., Terry Reidel of Walker, Kan. and Denny Roach of Litchfield.
