Descendants of Roberson Cloer & Lavina Byers of Alexander & Iredell Cos. North Carolina

 

Roberson Cloer's origin is something of a mystery. Even though he was born about 1812, no record has surfaced until his listing in the 1850 census of Alexander County. It is supposed he was a son of Nicholas Cloer, but no proof has been located as yet. Lavina Byers is likely to tie in to the other Byers family in Iredell County, but again, -- no proof has been found.

This is a but a glimpse into his family. Anyone having any information on this family, please contact me. I would love to firm up dates, add new data, and correct any errors in my database.
