     Jane Ella Waugh was born on 4 December 1879 at Clinton, Worcester Co, Massachusetts.1,2 She was the daughter of Samuel Waugh and Sarah Margaret Bigham. Jane Ella Waugh married Samuel Downey on 29 May 1902 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co, Pennsylvania.3 Jane Ella Waugh died on 21 February 1955 at Framingham, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts, at age 75.4 She was buried on 24 February 1955 at Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Funeral Services were held at the Wadsworth Funeral Home yesterday afternoon for Mrs. Ella J. Downey who died Monday night at the home of her sister 102 Cedar Street. Rev. Victor O. Dawe of the First Presbyterian Church...and burial followed at the family plot in Edgell Grove Cemetery...5
     She appeared on the census of 7 June 1900 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co, Pennsylvania; Ellen J. Waugh was 20 and boarding at the home of James Johnson.6 She appeared on the census of 1930 at Framingham, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Ella J. Downey, "sister-in-law", aged 48 and a widow, was living with her sister Annie Bickford's family at this time.7
