     Daniel Tryon Jr. was born on 29 March 1816 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Daniel Tryon and Mary Ann Longeway. Daniel Tryon Jr. was baptized on 8 September 1816 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 He married Amy Almeda Wait, daughter of Briggs Wait and Mary Sheer/Shier, on 1 February 1837 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.3 Daniel Tryon Jr. died on 20 April 1882 at Magog, Stanstead Co, Quebec, at age 66. He was buried on 22 April 1882 at Marlington Cemetery, Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec.4,5
     He appeared on the census of 1861 at Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec; Daniel Tryon, 45, Almeda, 43, Stephen, 20, Emily, 17, Sarah Jane, 15, Enoch, 13, Hiram, 9, Mary, 8. The family was Wesleyan Methodist.6 He appeared on the census of 1871 at Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec; In 1871, Daniel and Almeda Tryon and family lived on Range 13, Lot #4 in Stanstead. They held land consisting of 100 acres and owned a house, barn, two carriages, two wagons, and a fanning mill. They also owned a horse, two milk cows, a swine, and had raised 50 bushels of potatoes, a bushel of beets, a bushel of carrots, 5 bushels of corn and 3 bushels of buckwheat. They had also produced 150 pounds of butter and had acquired a muskrat fur as well as a mink fur. By 1881, the family had removed to Magog, Stanstead County, Quebec. He appeared on the census of 1881 at Magog, Stanstead Co, Quebec; Daniel Tryon was aged 65, farmer, and Almeda was 64, both Wesleyan Methodist.7
