Titus Smith was born circa 1756.1 He married Martha Belding, daughter of Jared Belding and Dinah Thomas, on 23 July 1777 at North Congregational Church, New Haven, New Haven Co, Connecticut; New Haven records lists Martha Belding as of West Haven.2 Titus Smith died on 20 March 1802; West Haven records show Titus Smith died at sea at age 46.1
