     Timothy Chapman Ellithorpe was born on 17 February 1814 at Sheldon, Franklin Co, Vermont.1 He was the son of John Ellithorpe and Elizabeth Chapman Weeks. Timothy Chapman Ellithorpe married Emily Bridget Salls, daughter of J. Seymour Salls and Catherine Soule, on 13 October 1839 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont; Alburgh Vital Records; He was "of Chicago, IL" and she was of Alburgh. Timothy Chapman Ellithorpe died on 1 May 1861 at Burlington, Kane Co, Illinois, at age 47.2 He was buried at Lily Lake Cemetery, Kane Co, Illinois.2
     According the "History of Chicago", Timothy Chapman Ellithorpe was an early printer in that city, and was noted as a refugee from Canada, after leading a band of revolutionists during the Rebellion.3
