Friday morning, March 3rd, Daniel B. Smith died at his home in Moira aged 92 years, 3 months and 16 days. The deceased was the last of a family of ten children and is survived by an aged widow in her 88th year, two sons, Ambrose Smith of Moira, and Hulbert Smith of Stockholm, and six daughters: Mrs. A.E. Smith and Mrs. Lillian Allen, Moira, Mrs. George Holmes, Winthrop, Mrs. H. B. Totman and Mrs. Darius Winters, Bangor, and Mrs. Mary E. Page of Massachusetts. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon, interment in the Moira Cemetery

Smith, 58, wife Susan, 52, Ambrose, 20, Mary, 18, Hulbert and Huldah, both 14, and Lilly, 12.⁵ He appeared on the census of 1880 at Moira, Franklin Co, New York; Enumerated as David R. Smith, aged 68, born NY, parents born CT and VT, and wife Susan Smith, aged 62, born Canada, parents both born VT.⁶ He appeared on the census of June 1900 at Moira, Franklin Co, New York; Daniel B. Smith, 88, wife Susan, 82, and also with son Hulbert, 44, his wife Sarah, 34, Frank, 12, and George, 9.⁷
