     Isaac Stewart Young was born on 17 February 1831 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Johannes Young and Lydia Ann Covey. Isaac Stewart Young was baptized on 5 April 1832 at Caldwell's Manor & Christie's Manor Anglican Church, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He married Mary Elliot, daughter of Jeremiah Elliot and Margaret (?), on 16 February 1853.2 Isaac Stewart Young died on 30 January 1901 at Baldwin Twp, Sherburne Co, Minnesota, at age 69.3,4
     The baptisms of Isaac's two children on 22 January 1865 state they were children of Isaac Young "late of Wisconsin".1 "Isaac Young...lived on his father's farm during his minority, then visited Boston, but returned home, and in 1853 came to Wisconsin, and lived on a farm in Winnebago County until 1864. Then returned to Canada, and after remaining two years, came to Minnesota and selectd the farm on which he now lives [Baldwin Twp, Sherburne Co]. Mr. Young has held the offices of Supervisor and Assessor for a number of terms, besides other local offices. He was married on 16th of February 1853, to Miss Mary Elliott. They have two children."2 He appeared on the census of 1900 at Baldwin Twp, Sherburne Co, Minnesota; Isaac Young, 68, born Canada, father b. NY, mother b. VT; wife Mary, 65, b. NY, fa b. NH, mo b. NY. She was the mother of two children and both were living.5
