Judson Merritt Salls
     Judson Merritt Salls was born on 23 April 1865 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Merritt Alonzo Salls and Lydia Maria Young. Judson Merritt Salls was baptized on 3 October 1866 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 He married Eulah A. Hartshorn, daughter of George A. Hartshorn and Etta A. Murphy, on 26 May 1892 at Clinton, Worcester Co, Massachusetts; by D.B. Scott, clergyman - Clinton Vital Records.3,4 Judson Merritt Salls married Edna Asenath French on 27 November 1913 at Maine; Judson was of Exeter, Maine and Edna was of Stetson, Maine

"Pretty Wedding Takes Place in Afternoon; Dinner Parties Given - At the home of Mr and Mrs B.A. Withee on Thanksgiving Day at 2:30 PM, Mrs. Withee's daughter, Edna French was united in marriage to Judson M. Salles [sic] of Clinton, Mass, by the Rev. Stanley G. Spear of Dexter, using the single ring service". The newspaper article is very descriptive from this point forward, offering details on the luncheon, the bride's attire, as well as the wedding party. "Mrs. Sales [sic] has been a great favorite among young and old, and has had great success in teaching since her graduation from the Hartland High School last June. She will resume her duties at Mt Pleasant School...and Mr Salles [sic] will remain in Stetson for the present, where he has made many friends".3 Judson Merritt Salls died on 22 June 1941 at Bangor Hospital, Bangor, Penobscot Co, Maine, at age 76.5
     He appeared on the census of 1910 at Newton, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Judson M. Salls was aged 45 and living in Newton, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts.6
