Frederick Holcombe Bagster

     Frederick Holcombe Bagster was born in 1858 at Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Thomas Bagster and Sophia Holcombe. Frederick Holcombe Bagster married Isadora Brigham on 5 January 1881 at Clinton, Worcester Co, Massachusetts.² Frederick Holcombe Bagster married Frances Melissa Salls, daughter of Merritt Alonzo Salls and Lydia Maria Young, on 15 January 1884 at Clinton, Worcester Co, Massachusetts.³ Frederick Holcombe Bagster died on 11 June 1914 at Auburn, Rockingham Co, New Hampshire; " Frederick Holcombe Bagster, formerly a resident of Clinton, and in the employ of William H. Fairbanks for nearly 30 years, died in Auburn, NH, June 11, of pneumonia at the age of 56 years. He was the son of Thomas and Sophia Holcombe Bagster, of Harvard. He leaves a widow, Mrs. Frances Salls; a daughter, Mrs Daniel V. Carruth of Houston, TX; a son, Howard Bagster, of Dorchester, MA..."^4,5
     He appeared on the census of 4 June 1900 at Clinton, Worcester Co, Massachusetts; Fred H. Bagster, 42, Frances M., 39, Nellie, 18, and Howard M., 15. They had been married 16 years, and Frances had two children, only one living.⁶ He appeared on the census of 25 April 1910 at Lake Avenue, Manchester, Hillsborough Co, New Hampshire; Frederick was 52, born Massachusetts, and living with his wife, Frances M., 49, born Canada. They had been married 26 years, had three childrem two still living.¹
