Mr. Tryon spent nearly all his life in th etown in which he resided, with the exception of a few years in the West. He was a successful farmer and was greatly interested in the Grange, taking an active part in the work of the local organization as long as his health permitted. He was interested in the business of this town, having served as an assessor for a number of years, his sound judgement of farm values making his services in this capacity of great worth. He was an upright man whose word was good as his bond, and he will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends.
In 1875 he was married to Sarah Humphrey of Bombay, who survives him. He is also survived by one son, Clayton; a daughter, Cora; one suster, Mrs. Betheda Stowe, and one brother, w. Emmet Tryon of North Carolina.2,1 He was buried at Moira Cemetery, Moira, Franklin Co, New York.2
