Nathaniel McCulloch

     Nathaniel McCulloch was born on 10 July 1826 at Putney, Windham Co, Vermont. He married Sarah M Salls, daughter of Isaac Salls and Esther Skinner, on 12 September 1849 at New Lebanon, Columbia Co, New York. Nathaniel McCulloch died on 11 August 1909 at Nebraska at age 83.1 He was buried at Tecumseh Cemetery, Tecumseh, Johnson Co, Nebraska; He was buried in an unmarked grave in Block 138, Lot 4E.1
     He and Sarah M Salls appeared on the census of 7 July 1860 at New Lebanon, Columbia Co, New York; Nathaniel McCullock, 33, Sally, 33, Ella M., 7, Sarah, 6, Janette E., 4. Nathaniel was born VT, and others were born in NY.2 Nathaniel McCulloch appeared on the census of 4 June 1880 at Rochester, Monroe Co, New York; Nathaniel Mc Culloch, 52, wife Sarah, 52, and daughter, Harriet E. Pierce, 18, were living together. Nathaniel was listed as a thermometer maker.3 He appeared on the census of 13 June 1900 at Normal, McLean Co, Illinois; N. Mccullough, 73, and wife Sarah M. Mccullough, 72. They had been married 50 years, had nine children, with only three living.
Nathaniel was born Vermont, his father of Massachusetts, his mother of Vermont. Sarah was born New York, father born New York, and mother born Connecticut.4
