     William Arthur Morse was born on 12 April 1873 at Northampton, Hampshire Co, Massachusetts.2 He was the son of Danford Morse and Betsy J Black.1 William Arthur Morse filed a marriage intention to Mary Ann Dean, daughter of John Munday Dean and Mary Ann Fullon Dudley, on 10 February 1906 at Lowell, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Wiiliam was 33 and Mary Ann was 29. It was his second marriage and her first.1 William Arthur Morse died on 26 May 1929 at Holyoke, Hampden Co, Massachusetts, at age 56.3 He was buried at Bridge Street Cemetery, Northampton, Hampshire Co, Massachusetts.3
     He appeared on the census of January 1920 at Pleasant Street, Holyoke, Hampden Co, Massachusetts; William A. Morse, 46, Mary D., 43 and Roland, 8. Mary came to the US in 1877 and she was a naturalized citizen in 1909.4
     On 9 Jun 1922, William Morse applied for a passport for himself and wife, Mary Ann, to go abroad and travel to the British Isles, France, Switzerland, Italy, Holland, Belgium, and Germany. The intent was to leave the port of New York about 5 Jul 1922. Photos were posted for both.
     They returned to New York on 9 Oct 1922 on the "Adriatic" out of Liverpool.2,5
