I connect to the "Sherman" family line through my great grandmother, Katherine "Kate" Sherman Barnhill, wife of Robert Bizzel Barnhill. Kate was the daughter of David Sherman and Annie Eliza Watson, both of Bladen County. David Sherman was one of the sons of William Dallas Sherman and Margaret Ann Watson. Margaret was the daughter of William Watson and sister to Noah Watson. William Dallas Sherman was born in North Hampton, England and came to North Carolina prior to 1830. Children of William Dallas and Margaret Ann Watson Sherman were: Sherman David Sherman married Ann Eliza Watson in about 1859-1860, as the census states in 1860, they were married within the census year. David and Annie, my 2nd great grandparents, were the parents of 7 known children. Those children were: Isadora "Dora" It is through daughter, Katherine, known as "Katie" or "Kate" and her marriage to Robert Bizzell Barnhill that I descend. Bizzell and Katie, my great grandparents had 11 children, with one child who died as an infant. Their children were: Infant Their son, Willie Don, is my grandfather and he married Ella Lee Wallace. My line continues through their son, Willie James, my father.
