Alva H. Weakley

Arvel S. Weakley wrote:

Alva, known as Uncle Deck, was hale and hearty at age 64 but met an untimely death in an automobile accident at Indio, California, on March 24, 1948. He was buried in Coachella Valley Cemetery in Indio.

 

Alva married Josephine Adams on June 20, 1914 in Lathrop, Clinton County, Missouri.  Marriage was recorded in Clay County, Missouri Book "K" Page 315

George Harvey Pritchett

His Obituary from "Obituaries and Register of Deaths copied from Greenville Advocate 1858 - 1899 Complied by Nelda Neer Anthony 1985": George Harvey Pritchett, died March 26, 1861, son of Thomas and Sarah H. Pritchett, aged three years, one month and thirteen days.

James Allen Thiem

His Obituary:

James A. Thiem was born at Union, Mo on October 19, 1948, the son of Herman Thiem and his wife, Stella, nee Varner, and passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 22, 1973 as the result of an auto accident in his 25th year.

 

He received his schooling in the Union Public Schools and graduated from Union High School in 1966. He was baptised in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Union by Rev. Maach. After graduation he was employee at McDonnell Aircraft in St. Louis for three years. From September of 1969 to September, 1971 he served in the US Army. Since his discharge Jim was employed in surveyor work in the county.

 

He was preceeded in death by a brother, Raymond Thiem and a half-sister, Anna Marie, both in infancy.

 

Those who survive are his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Herman Thiem of route one Union, MO. Six sisters, Elizabeth Bay of Overland, MO, Norma Meyer, Patricia Sachs and Janet Baker all of Union, MO, Theresa Weakley of Florissant, MO and Jacqueline Swan of O'Fallon, MO. Two half-brothers, Lawrence Willis of Florissant, MO and Grover Willis of Riverside, CA. His fiance Miss Linda Owens of Gerald, MO. Sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, neices, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

 

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 24, 1973 from the Oltmann Funeral Home in Union, Mo at 1:30 pm by Rev. Donald Werchan. Interment followed in the Midlawn Memorial Gardens at Union, MO.

Alice Frances Varner

She had six children all out of wedlock. She died in Springfield, Green, Missouri in 1977. Her SS# was issued in Missouri before 1951

Thomas Varner

Thomas Varner was found on the tracks of the Missouri Pacific Railroad with a severe head wound from which he died. He is thought to have been murdered.

Kathleen Jean Weakley

Kathleen Jean Weakley of Sullivan, Missouri passed away at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of four months and four days.

 

Kathleen Jean was born at St. John's Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri on September 20, 2001, to Rodney and Lorraine (Ritchey) Weakley.  She was a happy and beautiful baby with a glowing personality.  Her brief time with her family built a love and bond that will always be in their hearts and will never be broken.

 

Along with her parents Rodney and Lorraine, she is survived by four sisters and one brother all of the family home (names withheld to protect minor's privacy); maternal grandparents, Rhonda Ritchey and Ronald Ritchey and wife Diane; paternal grandparents, Theresa Weakley and Jack Weakley and wife Rita; maternal great-grandparents Glenna and Thomas Ackerman and Raymond and Madeline Ritchey; paternal great-grandmother, Wilma Weakley, special friends, Mike and Michael Pryor, other relatives and family friends.

 

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday January 28, 2002, from the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with the Reverend Theodore Brunnert and Reverend Dr. Kurt Calkins officiating.  Interment was in Midlawn Memorial Gardens, Union Missouri.
