Her death followed ill health that had extended over a long period of years. Although for the past ten years she had' been almost invalid and confined to her bed most of the time, she bore her suffering cheerfully and patiently and with a true Christian spirit, knowing that beyond life's cares was that mansion eternal awaiting when her Master called. All that human hands could do to make her comfortable was tenderly administered by her children.
While she was still a young woman she was converted and baptized during a meeting conducted 'by Elders Wm. Rhoads and Henry Dixon, and united with the Wilmington Baptist church. She remained a true follower of the Master to the end of her days
"Aunt Sarah" as she was known to her friends, was a woman highly esteemed in the community where her entire life was spent. She will long be remembered for her many virtues that so endeared her to her large circle of friends. To know her was to love her. It can truly be said, "as she has come to the end of life's long road. She was preceded in death by one grandson Stuart Wilkinson
Besides her children she is survived by 17 grandchildren, 15 great grand children and one sister, Mrs. E. H Brown of Seattle, Washington.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Willmington Baptist church, conducted by Rev. Harley Ford of White Hall.

She will be missed but we know her passing is only a joyful fulfillment of a God's promise to the faithful. She has fought a good fight, she finished the course, she has kept the Faith; henceforth there is laid up for her a crown of righteousness which the righteous judge shall give her in that day and not to her only but unto all them also that love His appearing
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Willmington Baptist church, conducted by Rev. Harley Ford of White Hall.
The casket bearers were three of her grandsons, Kenneth Seely, Wilkinson Jones and Paul Rutledge; one great grandson, Richard Ziern, and Jack Shankel and H. N. Westerhold.

There is some confusion at this point as to the time of this picture. I date it after 12/1904 from the date of marriage of #4310 Goldie Wilkinson and #4328 Fred Jones; after1910, judging by the date of birth of the youngest individual in the picture, which is Kenneth Seely, born in 1909; after 11/1911 from the date of marriage of Noble Wilkinson and Clara Shutz; but before 1917, according to the marriage date of Harley Forrest Wells.
Wilkinson Jones, the child second from right, standing, was born 11/4/1905, and looks to be about 6 or 7. In May or June of 1912 he would have been about 6 ½ years old.
There is a son named in the genealogy report who is not present in any of the pictures I’ve received, therefore I presume he must have died quite young, though no mention is made of him in any of the mails I have received. Louis T. Wilkinson, born to Sara Jane WELLS and James Reuben Wilkinson, according to Beverly Diane Jones, is only mentioned as having existed, no dates being given.
There are children born to Ellis Hunter Wilkinson, four girls, but there is no mention of a wife, and one does not appear in the group photo on the porch. Possibly she had also died early.
