The Practice
On Saturday, June 5, the classes of 2000, 1995, 1985, 1980, 1975, and 1965 showed up at the boat house
and got a chance to practice on the Charles, in 7 AM and 8:15 AM time slots.
The Race
On Sunday, June 5, a record thirteen teams showed up to compete for the Reunion Row cup.
The Challenge
The Row consisted of two heats, a qualifying heat and a final heat, using eight-man shells. Both heats begin at the near side of the Harvard Bridge
and end at the far side of the boat house pier. All boats compete with
a handicap of 1.5 seconds for every five years out.

The First Heat
Seven teams representing classes of 2000(women), 1980(men), 1975, 1970, 1965, 1955,
and a combined 1940-1945 shell raced in the first heat.

The 1975 and 1965 shells qualified for the final.
The Second Heat
Six teams representing classes of 2000(men), 1995, 1990, 1985(2 shells), and 1980(women)
raced in the second heat.
'95 -- 1:03.5
'80 women -- 1:07.0
'00 men -- 1:08.0
'85 "distinguished" -- 1:08.5
'90 -- 1:16.0
'85 "honorable" -- 1:59.0
The 1995 and 1980(women) shells qualified for the final.
The Final
'65 -- 1:08.5
'75 & '95 -- 1:12.5
'80 women -- 1:16.0
1980(women) finished 4th, but first in the women's division with a time of 1:16.
1995 and 1975 tied for second with a time of 1:12.5.
1965 finished first, and as a reward, cox Jesse Lipcon was hurled into the Charles.
Soaking wet, he was
presented with the Reunion Row cup.
