Threatening skies and scattered showers failed to dampen the spirits of the eight boats of alumni/ae racing in this year’s Reunion Row on Sunday June 6. The First HeatThe first heat featured the classes of 1960, 1965, 1975/85, 1980 The two-time defending champion Class of ’65 crew started the day off with a bang in the first heat, rowing a madcap 37-strokes-per-minute pace, and winning by four lengths over the Class of ’60, with the Class of ’80 and a combined boat from the class of ’75 and ’85 finishing third and fourth: Youtube video by wife of Ilya Gorodisher '85 Raw Time Age handicap Adjusted Time The 1960 and 1965 shells qualified for the final. The Second HeatThe second heat featured the classes of 1970, 1985, 1990/95, and 2000/05
In the second heat, with a steady rain reminding the crews of their undergraduate days, the Class of ’85 lightweights rowed to an impressive 1 ½ length win over a combined crew from the classes of 2000 and 2005. Third place went to a combined crew from the classes of ’90 and ’95, and the Class of ’70 took fourth.

The FinalThe expected showdown between the classes of ’65 and ’85 was somewhat anti-climactic, as the ’65 boat caught a full crab in the first ten strokes, and the smooth-stroking ’85 lightweights rowed to a convincing three-length victory. In a tight race for second place, Class of’65 nosed out Class of ’60 and the combined 2000/2005 crew. Raw Time
