George Roland Whiting (William Henry3, George C.2, John¹) was born 25 Aug 1907 in South Tamworth, Carroll, New Hampshire⁵⁴, and died Oct 1965⁵⁴. He married Hazel MacKenzie, daughter of William MacKenzie and Florence. She was born 19 Jun 1902 in Epsom, New Hampshire, and died in Tamworth, Carroll, New Hampshire.

Hazel Whiting attended Pembroke Academy and later the Plymouth Normal School (now Plymouth State College). Afterward, she got her first teaching job in South Tamworth, NH, teaching grades 1-8. She and Roland had four sons and four daughters. One child died in infancy. They had 23 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
