George S. Whiting (Jeremiah H.2², John1¹) was born 15 Apr 1850 in Tamworth, Carroll, New Hampshire¹⁷, and died 31 May 1934 in Wolfeboro, Carroll, New Hampshire. He married (1) Nettie W. Swain. She was born 1852 in Lakeport, New Hampshire. He married (2) ? S. Edwards (nee Dodge). She was born abt. 1859.

Notes for George S. Whiting:

There is some discrepancy in census records and vital records with George's middle initial. It has been inconsistently reported as either an "L" or an "S."  The 1920 census lists Cora L., age 49, as George L. Whiting's wife. It is known from Tamworth town records that George L. Whiting had a daughter named Cora H. Cora was born in 1880, which would have made her 40 in 1920. There is some discrepancy between cesus and town records on who George L. Whiting's wife and daughter were. The 1900 census reports George L. Whiting as a 51-year-old boarder living with Fred Osgood in Moultonborough.
