The article on Badlesmere, Sir Bartholomew (c.1275-1322) identifies his mother as "Joan, daughter of Ralph Fitzbernard of Kingsdown, Kent". Among the citations is G.E.C., Peerage [The Complete Peerage].

But this identification was later retracted by Complete Peerage volume 5, page 403, note b, and was consequently removed from the article on Badlesmere by volume 14 (Corrections and Additions).
