William Clarke

  General Notes:

William went south to find work but never returned. He was in Little Billabong in 1860's with his sister Elizabeth Adams and also his brother George. When Anne his first wife died the children were split up and reared by his sisters and brothers. One daughter Mary Ann went to live with his sister Elizabeth Adams and later married her first cousin George Adams. William remarried Sarah Spencer. William is buried at the cemetery in South Gundgai with his brother John.

William next married Ann Cribb, daughter of Robert Cribb and Ann, on 17 Jul 1845 in Berrima, Camden County, New South Wales.⁴ (Ann Cribb was born in 1824 in New South Wales ⁴ and died in 1886 in Gundagai District, New South Wales ⁴.)
