She died 4 January 2000 at age 80 in Fort Wayne, Allen, Indiana. On 8 January 2000, she was buried at Beech Grove Cemetery, Huntington, Huntington, Indiana.

• 0n Christmas Day, 25 December 1938, she married Arlo L. Beard. He is the son of Amon E. Beard and Alice Goodrich. He was born 28 March 1914 in Whitley county, Indiana. He died 4 April 2008 at age 94 in Washington, Daviess, Indiana. On 8 April 2008, he was buried at Beech Grove Cemetery, Huntington, Huntington, Indiana.
