Eller Chronicles NOV 1988 - p3

LETTERS FROM MEMBERS:

From Clarice Eller Stanley of Martins Ferry, OH
To Charlotte Eller Marshall:

Enclosed find check for my dues for 1989.

Thank you very much for having my family history printed in the Chronicles. I have already heard from someone confirming the fact that JACOB ELLER & ELIAS ELLER who settled in Missouri are brothers.

Enc. is a SASE for my brother, Charles V. Eller. Would you please forward him a membership application. Thank you again.

Sincerely, Clarice V. Eller Stanley.

From Elise P. Kidd of Austin Texas:

Dear Mrs. Marshall:

I have so enjoyed copies of "The Eller Chronicles" secured from Gerald Eller this year. My check for $15.00 is enclosed to cover dues for 1989.

My great-great grandmother was Sarah "Sallie" Eller who was born 3-21-1805 in Old Rowan County, NC, the daughter of Henry Eller. She married John Haines, a desc. of Marcus Hoehns, pioneer Moravian colonist, 7-24-1820 in Rowan Co. Her death occurred 6-1-1873 and she is buried at Midway Methodist Church Cemetery, near Winston-Salem. On one map I noticed Midway listed also as ELLER.

Congratulations and best wishes to you and all those who have founded this organization. I, too, find genealogy very fascinating and rewarding. My goal is to trace all my ancestors back to the first American colonist and I have met with fantastic success.

Thank you, Elise P. Kidd
