NOTE: Edgecomb wasn't formed until 1774 Individual flags: Rev War. Daniel died bef 4 Dec 1843 in Lincoln Co, ME, at approximately 83 years of age.(530) when his son, John Huff, was appointed administrator of his estate

He married Hepzibah Huff in Edgecomb, Lincoln, ME, c1782.(531) est date - 1st child b 1783

Granville Hough doesn't state who Hepzibah's parents were, nor does he indicate if there was any family relationship between Daniel and Hepzibah, but certainly gives the impression that she was a Huff. (Hepzibah Huff is #22100.)

Daniel served in the military in ME, MA, c1780-1783.(534) Abstract from Huff Newsletter, Vol. 6, No. 3, p 1:

Daniel was a Rev. War soldier from ME who served in MA units, including Capt. Spurr's Company of Edgecomb, and Capt. Davis' Comp, Col. Wigglesworth's Regt. When the town of Edgecomb was levied for soldiers, he enlisted for 3 years or the duration of the war. He continued to reside in Edgecomb in 1818 and received pension S35442.

7. Daniel II (1797 Edgecomb - ). Near Daniel Huff, Sr. in 1830 was Daniel Huff, Jr. showing 11001-20001. This indicates he had a family, which has not yet been defined. He does not show up in Edgecomb in 1840 or 1850.

Huff lineage is Daniel and Hepzibah (Huff) of ME; George Banfield and Suannah (Colby) of ME; Thomas and Hepzibah (Banfield) of ME; Thomas and Sarah (Ferris) of ME; Ferdinando and Mary (Moses) of MA and ME; prob.
