263“In his [John Thacher’s] will dated 27 May 1763, probated 20 April 1764, John Thacher mentioned his daughter, Abigail Hallett; his son Rowland; the children of his daughter, Fear Lewis, deceased, including Elizabeth Penfield, ‘and each of the others as they arrive at 21 years’; the children of his granddaughter, Mary Lothrop, deceased; the children of his grandson, Lot Thacher, deceased; and funds to be given to his granddaughter-in-law, Martha Thacher, while she remained Lott’s widow.”
234“Abigail was called ‘Abigail Hallett’ by her father, John Thacher, in his wil dated 27 May 1763. Joseph Hallett of Yarmouth, yeoman, died intestate. On 23 October 1735 his widow, Abigail Hallett, was appointed as the administratrix of his estate. The inventory was accepted by the court 11 November 1735.”
234She “died September 18th, 1768, at Yarmouth, Mass., and was buried there in old cemetery, gravestone.”
